Description: Unified Champions is a program started by Special Olympics to promote social inclusion through sport and foster meaningful relationships between students with and without intellectual disabilities and create more inclusive schools for all. Throughout DCSD, schools have Unified sports teams which are composed of Special Needs students and peer helpers. At Cresthill, our Unified Champions play a kickball season, a basketball season, soccer season, and track season. We play against other middle schools and also have district wide games with the assistance of our peer helpers.
